A man who was being held by the police for the alleged fatal stabbing of his 13-year-old nephew in Crofts Hill, Clarendon last month has been charged with murder.

The uncle has been identified as twenty-two-year-old, Courtney Haniford of Morant Housing Scheme in Crofts Hill, Clarendon.

Reports are that at about 8: 45 am on March 27, Omarian Haniford was at home when his uncle reportedly used a knife to stab him in the neck.

The teen ran from the house and collapsed in the yard.

He was pronounced dead at hospital.

The uncle was taken into custody and charged on Thursday, March 31.

His court date is not yet finalized.
