UWI Mona to resume full face-to-face classes this summer

by March 31st, 2022

Full face to face classes are to resume at the University of the West Indies Mona Campus, in June.

The institution will also be facilitating full accommodation on all halls of residence, in August.

In a statement, the UWI said the decision comes in the wake of government’s announcement regarding the resumption of the face-to-face modality, across the education sector.

As such, the university will begin offering face to face classes, to current and incoming students, starting with summer school in June 2022, and all classes in September 2022, for semester one of the upcoming 2022 -2023 academic year.

UWI Mona Campus Registrar, Dr. Donovan Stanberry said some programmes will continue to be delivered online or in a blended mode.

As it relates to on campus accommodation, all students who wish to reside on a hall must be fully vaccinated.

All students are being encouraged to continue with the practice of hand sanitizing and mask-wearing indoors.
