West Indies beat England in one off T/20

World T/20 champions West Indies brushed aside England by 21 runs in the one off T/20 clash at Chester Le Street earlier today.

Evin Lewis cracked 51 off 28 balls and Chris Gayle whipped 4 sixes en-route to 40 runs from 21 deliveries as the west indies batting first posted 176 for 9 from their allotted 20 overs.

Rovman Powell supported with 28 while Ashley Nurse was left unbeaten on 13.

Set 177 to win England had a good start at 106 for 2 after 10 overs, but later fell apart at 155 all out in 19.3 overs, with Alex hales 43 and Josh butler 30 getting most runs.

This against Sunil Narine who was named man of the match after grabbing 2 for 15.

Captain Carlos Braithwaite and Kesrick Williams picked up 3 wickets each.

Both teams will now meet in the five match one day International series which bowls off on Tuesday at old Trafford.
