West Indies T20 skipper Carlos Brathwaite to play for English county club Kent

by May 2nd, 2018

West Indies T20 skipper Carlos Brathwaite has put pen to paper to play for English county club Kent in the Vitality Blast Twenty/20 competition in England this summer.

The 29 year old all-rounder will join the Kent squad before the opening group match at surrey on July 6.

However, Brathwaite will only represent Kent for the first four matches of the competition.

Brathwaite is currently signed up with Indian premier league (IPL) franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad but is yet to make an appearance in the campaign so far.

Brathwaite who clobbered four successive sixes in the final over of the thrilling World T/20 contest to hand West Indies the title in 2016, has since maintained a good record with 92 wickets and a remarkable strike rate of 151.12 with the bat from 105 matches.
