The man who was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting his 5-year-old sister in Westmoreland, has been charged.

The man whose identity is being withheld to protect the child, was apprehended last Tuesday (April 12), after being on the run for several days.

Acting Head of the Westmoreland Police, Senior Superintendent Wayne Joseph said the man was charged yesterday (April 20).

He said the man who is in his 20s was charged for rape and aggravated sexual assault and is to go to court next Tuesday, April 26.
