Director-General of the World Health Organization, WHO, Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus has assured that all vaccines approved by the organization are safe.

His comment follows reports that some countries are refusing entry to fully vaccinated visitors because those countries do not approve some vaccines.

Dr. Tedros in noting that this is discrimination, said all WHO vaccines are safe.

To date, some 5.5 billion doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered globally.

However, Dr. Tedros said vaccine inequity continues to be an issue.

He has called on high income countries to suspend administering Covid-19 booster shots until at the end of the year.

He was speaking during a press briefing this morning (September 8).
