Windies lose to Bangladesh in Tri-Nation series final dress rehearsal

The West Indies, despite solid half centuries by Shai Hope and captain Jason Holder, went down by five wicket to Bangladesh in the Tri-Nation Series in Dublin, but are into the final which will be contested on Friday

Hope topped the West Indies batting, hitting 6 fours and a six on his way to a patient 87 to help the Windies to 247 for 9 after electing to bat.

Holder supported with 62 from 76 balls against Mustafizur Rahman who took 4 for 43 and Mashrafe Mortaza who ended with 3 for 60.

Bangladesh in response made 248 for 4 in 47.2 overs with Mushfiqur Rahim getting 63 and Soumya Sarkar adding 54.

Ashley Nurse (3-53) was the top Windies bowler.

The Windies, who missed five chances in the Bangladesh innings, finished second on the table on 9 points, one behind the Tigers who face Ireland in a dead rubber on Wednesday.
