Police are seeking a person of interest in relation to the murder of a woman on her farm in Green Town, Trelawny, this morning (January 31).

The deceased has been identified as 41-year-old Garcia Williams, a farmer of Mendez Town in the parish.

Preliminary reports are that there was a domestic dispute between Williams and her common law husband.

The police say about 9: 15 a-m, Williams was on her farm in green town when she was approached by the man and an argument developed between them.

He allegedly chased her with a machete, before chopping her once to the neck.

Police are asking Omar Bennett of Green Town to turn himself in to the nearest police station.
