Zak Starkey makes reggae album

Zak Starkey, son of the Beatles drummer Ringo Starr has recorded a reggae album in Jamaica.

The project started in December of 2017 and is dubbed the Red Gold Green and Blue project. The project is influenced by Blues music and will see some of Jamaica’s greatest reggae artists performing on the album.

Music News understands that Mykal Rose, Toots Hibbert, Big Youth, Sly and Robbie, Tony Chin and Freddie Mcgregor are some of the entertainers featured on the album.

Zak Starkey who is expected to return to the island to finish the album is currently on an Australian tour.

Zak Richard Starkey is an English rock drummer whose music career spans more than 30 years.
