Ziggy Marley used his official social media platform on Friday (April 22) to bring awareness to Earth Day.
April 22, 2022, is Earth Day, a time set aside to celebrate the Earth, learn about the environment, and promote conservation.
Ziggy Marley, via his official verified Instagram account, shared a picture of his artwork which features the drawing of a globe accompanied by the statement, “The Earth without ART is just EH.” Ziggy Marley in the caption wrote, “Hey Earth I know it your day, and every day is yours but just so you know check the pic ok. I’m just saying. Love you still.”
Ziggy’s message has since received positive feedback from social media users. One user wrote, “So simple yet profound. Appreciate the share.” While another in the comment section wrote, “Every Day is Earth Day. We must respect Mother Earth. Why are we not taking care of her and her plants and animals, oceans and forests? Sometimes I feel like humans don’t deserve her.”
The theme for Earth Day 2022 is “INVEST IN OUR PLANET”, focusing on the effects of climate change on the planet and what efforts are being made in the real world to mitigate it.
Today, Earth Day is celebrated by millions around the world – marking the 52nd anniversary of the very first Earth Day celebrated in 1970.
