Iconic Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s time as a Manchester United player is officially over after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
He is now expected to be unveiled as a player for many time MLS Cup winners LA Galaxy with whom he has signed a contract for the rest of this season.
The move to the Galaxy, worth £1million annually, is expected to be officially announced in a full-page advert in the Los Angeles Times.
Ibrahimovic could make his Galaxy debut against local rivals LA FC on March 31.
The 36-year-old during his time in Manchester, made 53 appearances compiling 29 goals and 10 assists to help the Red Devils win the English League Cup and Europa League titles respectively in his first season.

United confirmed on Thursday that the remainder of Ibrahimovic’s one-year deal at Old Trafford has been cancelled, effectively ending the top-flight career of a striker who has also played for Ajax Amsterdam, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.
